The Songwriters Association of Canada with Music BC and The National Music Centre embarks on the annual Songposium tour. Presented in Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver this intensive one-day seminar for aspiring and emerging songwriters is not to be missed. ?If you are interested in learning more about the art, craft and business of songwriting, come and hear from some of the foremost international talent in the music industry as they share their experience and knowledge in helping you get your songs heard. Whether writing chart-topping singles with established artists or developing up and coming independent acts, Jeff ?Diesel? Dalziel is among the busiest professionals in the Canadian music industry.?As in-house producer for Sony Music Canada from 1999-2006, Jeff developed and produced numerous platinum and gold artists such as The Philosopher Kings, Prozzak, B4-4, Adam Gregory, Tom Wilson, and Edwin to name a few.?As owner and operator of Dieselmusic, the Sony/ATV published producer/songwriter continues to develop both major label and independent acts. Working with artists such as Thornley, Alyssa Reid, Tupelo Honey, Adriiana, Jesse Labelle, Age of Daze and Ten Second Epic, as well as burgeoning groups like Mad June and The Flash Jam, Dalziel?s work knows no stylistic boundary. Amy Fritz has worked in the Entertainment Industry since 1990 and as a Music Supervisor since 1997. Her past experiences as a campus radio DJ, music producer, sound engineer (studio and location film), published songwriter/performer, and artist manager, all contribute to her unique sensibilities and expertise as a Music Supervisor. Prior to forming RADAR Music Group in 2006, Amy was the Director of Music Supervision at Canada?s leading music management company/agency, representing such Artists as: Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Joni Mitchell, Elvis Costello and Jesse Cooke. Amy has music supervised and produced soundtracks for over 70 film & TV productions. Some recent projects include: ?Call Me Fitz? (HBO Canada), ?Metal Evolution? (VH1), The Samaritan (starring, Samuel L. Jackson), Splice (starring, Adrien Brody & Sarah Polley). Kevin Gau - THE LEFT, hailing from Langley, a vibrant community located in southwest BC that borders the USA. These Langleroos have been working together trying to write hit music since 2002. It may be clich? but the band is inspired by greats like the Beatles and Coldplay and any band where the focus is on the melody. Their approach to songwriting is ultimately the melody must be catchy and memorable for every song. The songs feature stalwart group vocals and four-part harmonies lead by Kevin or Josh. THE LEFT?s upcoming full length album release, ?Cycles?? have already had tremendous support prior to the release on January 10, 2012.? The songs are currently receiving airplay in over 20 retail chains across the world. The band was recently added to ?Eddie Bauer? Emerging Artist Series. Hit singles, ?Cellophane? (#9 Best new download on amazon.com) and ?Love Don?t Work? have over 10 new radio adds in Canada and 15 across the US.
