Paper and Wood Pennant Banner

Happy Friday!!

Last weekend, I had the honor of hosting a baby shower with my sisters and mom for a longtime family friend. ?We had such a great time! ?I always love making banners to hang in my living room for parties like this. ?My ?plan A? banner was an epic fail, which led me to this ?plan B? banner. ?I loved the outcome so much that I thought I would share it with you guys!

This is great for parties and baby showers! ?It serves as a great decoration during the party, and we pulled it down and gave it to the mommy-to-be as a gift to take home. ?Here is how it turned out?

It?s so simple and cheap to create. ?Here we go?

I found all of my supplies at Hobby Lobby. ?I used 12?12 Kraft paper that was half off. ?You can buy this in individual sheets, but it saves a ton of money to buy the pack at $3 and I knew I would use it for lots of stuff!

I also used 12?12 sheets of scrapbook paper. ?Again? You can opt for individual sheets, but I loved this paper knew I could use it for other projects later.

I also used my very favorite MDF letters from Hobby Lobby. ?These were on sale for under $2 a piece and they are big? Like 10-11?. ?LOVE.

My first step was cutting my scrapbook paper down a bit. ?I cut about a half of an inch off of each side. ?This way the Kraft paper would be a bit larger and frame this paper.

I attached the scrapbook paper to the top of the Kraft paper using hot glue.

Then, I used some hot glue on the back of my MDF letters and glued it to the scrapbook paper.

I told you it was simple! ;-)

My final step was hanging it up. ?I used some thick twine from Hobby Lobby and ran it across the opening into my kitchen. ?Then, I used clothespins to clip the letters up! ?Simple. ?I am so glad my electric cutter totally failed me on this project. ?I almost kicked it because it kept tearing up my papers. ?Then, this banner popped in my head, and I am so much more pleased with the outcome. ?I hope Katie loves it too! ;-)

Here are a few more shots?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I would love for you to pin and share this below!! ;-)

On a final note?
