Managing Stress for Success

How do you manage the stress your business creates?? Do you have a method or methods to help you deal with certain situations?? If you think there's nothing you can do about your stress level, it is not the case.? We all have the ability to control our stress levels and even turn that stress into productivity and even success.

In order to begin the process of reducing stress, identify the source.? Sometimes it's not exactly obvious so one should peel back the layers to find where it is coming from.? Get in the habit of prioritizing your tasks whether business or personal based.? Prioritizing your tasks from the hardest or longest to complete will help you avoid stress from procrastination and avoidance.? This is so much easier to do when one is organized.

Do you make lists to help organize your tasks?? I always feel better immediately after finishing my list for the day.? That is a huge stress buster by itself, because in making the list, I have numbered it from the hardest to easiest items.? The only time I change the order is if, for example, an easy item has an early morning time frame in which it has to be completed.

Make sure to make a daily list every day.? Then make monthly, quarterly, and yearly lists.? Outline your goals if this is a habit that will help you to follow through.? You will find if you are incorporating the quarterly and yearly lists, the monthly lists will be shorter and easier to manage and accomplish, thus reducing stress greatly.

Maintaining a positive outlook will help reduce stress when you come upon situations where you have absolutely no control over the outcome.? Learn to accept what you cannot change when life brings you a few lemons.? Positive energy applied to your personal and business life makes the rhythm of the ups and downs become more balanced.? There is less stress and life is so much easier to handle and is simply, more pleasant.

Maintain a balance between your work and home life.? Make sure you make the time to relax and have fun.? It is so very easy to work day in, day out and forget to take care of yourself.? Allowing yourself short breaks while at work and scheduling relaxing and fun activities with family and friends help you to better manage the stressful situations when they do enter your arena.? Learning to manage your stress puts you in control and helps leverage your efforts toward success.
